Your new company
A global financial institution is looking to expand its Security Operations Center capabilities through the intake of multiple SOC Analysts with a view to progress them into the wider security function of the business via an unrivalled training and development program.
The SOC runs as a 24/7 operations center and as such you will be required to work on a roster, this will include weekend and nights shifts.
Your new role
You will join a well established Security Operations Center with the aim of strengthening its overall security monitoring and response capabilities. The SOC supports the entirety of the business with a number of business streams reliant on the divisions oversight of the companies security posture. You will be responsible for;
- Monitoring, analysing and responding to security alerts from a wide variety of detection systems and tools
- Security event analysis, response and escalation where necessary
- Working with the wider Security Group when necessary to contain, remediate and investigate detected threats
- Manage track and record all incidents accordingly
- Cross-skill and up-skill through working with all areas of the security group to increase your own abilities and value within the group.
- Deliver timely and accurate incident management.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will preferably have a relevant tertiary qualification in information Security, Technology or Computer Science.
- Experience within a related field with strong technical understanding of network infrastructure and perimeter security
- Good understanding of information and cyber security principals, including governing policies and frameworks such as NIST or ISO27001
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
