Client
My client, a leading ASX listed publicly traded company, with over 700 locations in all states and over 5,000 employees is now looking for an IT Support Officer to look after their L1 helpdesk based out of their inner eastern suburb office.
Role
You, the IT Support Officer, will be part of the team that is the first point of call for the Company's Store and national franchise network and head office / warehouse users, fulfilling in-store hardware and software assistance needs, logging and resolving requests and providing excellent customer service to the group.
Responsibilities
- Providing during and on on-call out of business hours helpdesk and technical support for our organisation in a professional, courteous and timely manner
- Logging all support calls and email requests accurately in the designated helpdesk system
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues to resolution within required timeframes (inc engaging assistance from 3rd parties, if required)
- Updating designated helpdesk system and other information stores with detailed resolution and other information
- Assembling, configuring and deploying server and desktop PCs, along with POS hardware and software
Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a customer focused helpdesk and technical support role (inc experience with helpdesk software and processes)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, networking
equipment inc configuration) - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experienced at assembling, diagnosing and fixing server and desktop PCs
(inc installation of OS and software) and POS hardware\ - Understanding of ITIL methodologies an advantage
- Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Windows desktop platforms (7 and
newer)
