About the position
We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure / Desktop Support Engineer to join a technology focused financial services client. The position will work across all levels of support and involve a mixture of lower level technical troubleshooting, through to systems admin with more advanced projects available. You will be engaging with technologies around VMware, SCCM, Data Centres, Active Directory, Exchange and Networking. The company operates in a very fast paced environment so good problem solving ability and strong communication skills to engage with a variety of levels of the business would be required to fill this role. A strong passion for IT and drive for success will help you succeed in this role
Technical Skills:
- Tertiary Qualification in a computing or technical spacerequired.
- 2 – 5 years desktop support/sys admin experience
- Experience working with VMware, SCCM, Data Centres, Active Directory, and Exchange
- Very strong communication skills, written and verbal to communicate with all levels of the business
- Experience with Automation and Powershell
- Some basic Linux and Networking skills will be an advantage.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment with abilities to prioritise
- Experience in Financial Services/Funds management/Trading a strong advantage
