ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is one of the leading Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Company providing world-class business consulting, information technology and communication services and has development and delivery centre’s across the globe serving several Fortune 500 companies.

Our client is a provider of financial technology products, legacy modernization services and consulting for core banking, corporate banking, wealth & asset management and insurance.

Role: HSE Advisor

Location: Sydney

Duration: 12 Months Fixed term permanent

Role Purpose: Assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of health and safety standards, policies and procedures in accordance with current Australian health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • HSE implementation for all Australia field and office activities
  • Implement and monitor Occupational Health & Safety Policy, Standards Programs and Procedures.
  • Provide advice and assistance on HSE related matters in RFQs/RFPs
  • Represent us[client] in all client/customer meetings
  • Undertake audits and complete associated documentation
  • Collate HSE data for Australia to feed into Corporate HSE requirements
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders (HR, L&D, Operations, Field personnel) and
  • Corporate HSE to manage H&S management system and drive continual improvement initiatives
  • Work with Corporate HSE to ensure all suitable and relevant corporate initiatives are implemented in Australia
  • Incident investigation and reporting – carving out appropriate RCA and CAPA to prevent incidents of similar nature in future.
  • Liaise with government authorities on incident reporting/management as and when required.
  • Management and Implementation of HSE Management systems as per ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Share HSE best practices among all Australian facilities
  • Conduct Risk Assessments/Job Safety analysis in the field and advise field teams of the mitigation measures accordingly
  • Chart out HSE objectives/targets and subsequent management programs with clear action plan for achieving the targets
  • Facilitate and deliver training of employees and support staff on HSE requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up to date training records
  • Update and implement HSE policies and procedures
  • Share HSE requirements with vendor partners and suppliers ensuring their compliance with our requirements
  • HSE Legal requirements compliance and evaluation periodically for all facilities
  • Monitor and measure HSE legal parameters and other parameters which are significant within Australia
  • Ensure participation of key stakeholders while developing HSE procedures
  • Maintain minutes and records stakeholder participation
  • Travel within Australian for field visits

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety discipline (desirable)
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge on Australian Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Strong computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with an ability to utilise the tracking system.
  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent cross functional stakeholder management skills
  • Good presentation skill
