About the role
In this IT Manager/Senior Systems Engineer role we're looking for someone with a creative and resourceful technology mindset, who enjoys a hands on approach and achieves by thinking out of the box and is comfortable challenging the Status Quo. This role reports to our CFO and has one direct 1st level support officer. You'll act as the escalation point for incidents and will be proactive getting our infrastructure & systems set up and ready for the next growth phase.
Providing a broad range of services including end user support, vendor management and infrastructure tasks, a major part of this role will be managing current projects and reviewing supplier contracts. Superior vendor negotiation skills is expected, software licensing and MSP Support experience will be well regarded. With no two days the same you'll be challenged and energized and have the autonomy to get things done.
We are looking for a self-starter, highly dynamic person who prides themselves on providing a second to none customer experience.
It's a no brainer that you'll have the tech smarts & knowledge needed to support users, negotiate with vendors and run well managed project teams.

Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Wintel Systems Engineer
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT management role
- Strong problem solving and effective time management capabilities
- Ability to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Highly effective communication and customer service skills
- Solid understanding of networking principles
- Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and IT support
- Demonstrated project and vendor management experience
- Strong understanding of Server and Network operations.
- Working knowledge of ITIL
- Citrix XenApp 76
- MS Server 2012
- Exchange 2012
- Any ERP & CRM Applications
- Layer 3 Networks (MPLS & Meraki)
- SQL experience
