My client is a well-known international client, with a brand name recognised by everyone around the world. Based on significant planned and organic growth, there exists a vacancy for a Lead Java Developer to join their team, in a prime Melbourne location.
This will be a technically rewarding and challenging position, working on a major enterprise application. The role will require constant interaction with other developers in the team, also involving project management to develop and maintain robust, scalable and performance financial systems.
You will join an experienced team of motivated and technically competent engineers that have a reputation for writing clean code. The technical environment is: Java, Web Services, Spring Framework, JS (Angular2 / React) stacks, as well as open source frameworks.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a Java Developer, ideally within a lead or mentoring capacity
- Demonstrated high level of competency developing Java 8 applications in pure Agile enterprise environments
- Front-end Web-Development experience: JavaScript, AngularJS 2, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3.
- Building and enhancing data analysis applications and Java services, including data mapping.
- Developing, enhancing and supporting business-to-business applications.
- Line management, performance reviews and technical guidance
Technical Skills Required:
- Experience in an Agile / Scrum environment (mandatory)
- Technical Lead Experience
- Knowledge in Java Infrastructure and Network.
- Excellent experience in people management skills, and not just as a technical team lead.
- Degree qualified in computer science
- Experience with Spring3.x, Spring MVC, JPA
- Testing Frameworks - JUnit, Mockito or similar.
- Web service experience using JAX-WA and JAX-RPC
- Desirable knowledge: ETL tools, Eclipse IDE, open source technologies
