Insyston is an Australian owned company and a market leader in the development and implementation of asset finance system solutions.  Based on the Lower North Shore of Sydney we have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst, with a passion for testing and solving problems, to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Own the testing of existing and newly developed software built on Microsoft technology
• Work in strong collaboration with Business Analysts and Developers to understand the requirements and specifications
• Create test plans and test cases for functional and regression testing and perform test analysis
• Identify defects and articulate impact on the solution
• Participate in morning stand-ups and report on testing progress.
• Use and improve testing methodologies, including knowledge sharing and process improvement
• Contribute to the development of an automated test culture

To be successful in this role you must possess the following skill set:

• 4+ years' experience in software testing ideally within the financial services industry.
• 1+ years' experience testing complex numerical applications, ideally financial / accounting.
• Degree qualified in IT / Engineering / Mathematics or equivalent business experience
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and willingness to contribute to new/improved processes and methodologies
• Experience with Test Management tools
• Exposure to testing Soap Web Services, Restful APIs and Windows, IOS and Android applications
• Ability to write SQL queries/Scripts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills. The ability to clearly and confidently articulate thoughts and ideas is important
• Experience in Financial software is a big plus, especially experience testing algorithmic based applications
• You’re a self-starter with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
