This leading Melbourne organisation are currently seeking a Technical Lead to join an established Network team. The team performs monitoring, management and maintenance of core network environments across the organisation.

Key responsibilities 

• Support projects and operations by providing technical leadership and knowledge across the project lifecycle and systems  
• Lead and manage the testing, design, maintenance, operation and support of Network Services, ensuring customer expectations and Service Level Agreements are met
• Act as the 2IC to the Team Leader
• Provide leadership in the resolution of Major and high severity incidents.
• Oversee the transition of projects into operations, in particular ensuring operational readiness
• Contribute to business planning and budget management

 
Key skills and experience required

• Strong experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar Tech Lead position working in a large complex environment
• Automation and scripting experience required (Ansible, Python, Puppet, etc.)
• Experience with Nexus, F5, Palo Alto, SDDC, Vmware highly regarded
• Ability to interpret service management information to drive service availability, capacity and maintainability
• Root cause problem analysis expertise and familiarity with Firewalls, Load Balancing, Virtualisation, and Storage solutions
• Experience in managing external vendors and outsourced services to deliver effective service outcomes
• Good working knowledge of documented service agreement management processes and systems
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications
