The Role
Our team of dedicated specialists in the Infrastructure team are integral in the success and smooth operation of our business. We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our team in Port Melbourne. This position will report into the Infrastructure Services Manager and will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance and on-going operation of systems hardware and software for our APAC support offices and stores.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
• Specify and design information systems to meet defined business needs.
• Install, test, implement or decommission and removal of cabling, wiring, equipment, hardware and software, following plans and instructions and in accordance with agreed standards.
• Test hardware and software components, resolving malfunctions found and recording the results.
• Ensure the operation and control of IT infrastructure (including hardware, software, data stored on various media, and all equipment within wide and local area networks) which support IT services and products continue to meet the needs of a business
About You
Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you will possess the following skills:
• A tertiary qualification including VMware, Microsoft Server and Cisco Certifications are desirable
• Extensive experience working to in a large scale, multi-site environment supporting Window’s/ Red Hat Linux Servers, VMware with a Veeam backup solution, SCCM and Network Management
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking/server hardware, systems, topologies and protocols, investigatory and break fix scenarios
• Cloud experience in Azure and AWS desirable
• Monitoring software experience in PRTG, Solarwinds, App Dynamics desirable
• Cisco Call Manager/ Telecommunication experience desirable
• Puppet experience desirable
• ITIL certifications desirable
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Highly organised and positive attitude towards work with the ability to work well under pressure
This role will involve working out of business hours as needed and will be required to be on an on-call rostering system.
