As a Network Engineer in Layer2 APAC, you will research, analyse and recommend strategies for an important customer to maintain the integrity of their network infrastructure. You will be responsible for delivering pro-actively managing and maintaining the network infrastructure and the application delivery/high availability of different systems. You will perform troubleshooting across LAN/WAN and assist other members of the team. You must have advanced technical knowledge in order to support complex network, load balance and high availability environments on different business needs and requirements. You will also provide network programming to different operational systems; Create, design and keep documentation and procedures up to date.
You’re required to have an extensive technical background in networking technologies such as F5 networks, load balance and firewalls, Cisco and Palo Alto devices, Linux in different flavours, different algorithms language and great communication skills to deal with a multicultural environment. You will engage customers to understand necessities, business aspects and find solutions.
Required:
You must have 8+ years of experience in Computer Network and System Administration and have relevant tertiary education within Information Technology. You must have experience and advanced knowledge of the following:
√ F5 Networks technologies – LTM, GTM, APM, ASM, AFM and iRule scripting development
√ Troubleshooting and solve layer 2 to layer 7 issues, LAN and WAN problems
√ Cisco router and switches – Core, distribution, access and industry standard protocols such as VPN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS, LAN/WAN, among others
√ Linux knowledge with scripting skills
√ Next generation Firewalls such as F5 ASM / AFM, Palo Alto and security systems
√ Capable of work in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco, Vmware, F5, Linux Red Hat / CentOS, Palo Alto, among others)
√ Planning and design software delivery and safe distribution using F5 technologies
√ Stong written and verbal communication skills
√ Excellent problem-solving and diagnosis skills
√ Linux administration and Python / Shell scripting skills
Qualification:
√ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
√ F5 Networks Certifications (Preferably APM and ASM)
Desirable knowledge:
√ Vmware ESXi, Hyper-V and GNS3
√ HTTP and TCP/IP fundamentals
√ DNS, Iptables, web services and proxy
