We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist for an initial 6 month contract.

You Will:

• Provide security advice and support to the department in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and any evolution of the security risk management framework in use
• Apply contemporary knowledge of emerging technology issues including information and cyber security trends, vulnerabilities and threats, associated identification and prevention techniques
• Use experience to conduct proactive analytical and research tasks to meet the information and cyber security needs of stakeholders;
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to lead and conduct information and cyber security assessments; and
• Investigate information and cyber security vulnerabilities and assess the risk to stakeholders' systems and recommend mitigating strategies through research, analysis and reporting.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments on new and existing technologies including producing related IT Security documentation to support the department’s accreditation activities

To Be Considered You Must Possess The Following:

1. Experience to conduct proactive analytical and research tasks to meet the information and cyber security needs of stakeholders;
2. Demonstrated knowledge of the  Australian Signals Directorate Information Security (ISM) Manual and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF);
3. Experience working with different security classified environments;
4. The ability to write and develop a variety of ICT security technical and business documents;
5. A demonstrated ability to perform technical and business Risk and Threat analysis of ICT systems

You MUST be an Australian Citizen to be considered and a current NV1 Security Clearance will be highly regarded.
