Technical Writer (Auckland or Brisbane)
6 Month Contract (Fulltime)
Airwork Fixed Wing Division is part of the Airwork Group of Companies.
Airwork own and operates a fleet of ten Boeing 737 freighter aircraft around Australia and New Zealand as well as providing MRO services to some of the major Airlines in Australasia.
An opportunity exists for a suitably experienced applicant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Safety Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the review and updating of all New Zealand and Australian manuals with a focus on developing content, minimising replicated items and publishing content in a manner that is easy to find and understand.
The key tasks include:
- Undertaking development and review of current manuals according to CASA structure and format.
- Identifying replicated items, and items in conflict and aligning manuals to current practice.
- Publishing digital content in a format that is cross referenced and easy to navigate.
- Liaising with key stakeholders to review, update and develop materials.
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:
- Proven ability in a technical writing position
- Proven high level research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- High proficiency in MS Office and digital publishing software
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bring disparate groups together
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
You must have:
- Previous aviation experience with the ability to rapidly grasp terminology across a number of areas.
