Ahrens is a fourth-generation, Australian Owned Company that has been in operation for over 110 years. We have a rare opportunity for a talented IT Business Analyst to join a passionate team, located at our head office at Kingsford SA, 10 minutes from Gawler.
This is a unique opportunity to join the team in the early stages of what will be an exciting growth phase.
In this role you will have a large amount of autonomy, and some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Actively seek out continuous improvement opportunities to increase business efficiency and effectiveness;
- Design, Develop and Maintain - reports, dashboards, program enhancements and fixes;
- Prototype of reports and analysis for validation by the business section;
- Create solution designs which meet business requirements;
- Document and submit bug fixes and improvements to vendors;
- Assist in the development and improvement of processes within identified areas of the Business;
- Major application upgrade assistance and testing;
- Knowledge of macros and VBA development;
- Preparation of training manuals and user guides for development and reports; and
- Identify, document and improve system relationships and discrepancies.
Required qualifications, skills and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in technologies including operating systems and databases;
- Degree qualified in a related field or equivalent relevant IT experience;
- Intermediate-Advanced computing and analytical skills;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Excellent understanding of business operations and processes;
- Ability to understand user needs and an analytical mindset
- Attention to detail;
- Good written and verbal communication skills; and
- Flexible & adaptive.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on person with the ability to work cohesively within a small dedicated team. You will possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to use your initiative. Previous experience with implementations will be looked at favourably.
