Join a world-class digital team that owns and manages the digital properties of web and mobile (site and apps) across our growing business. We're working on a business-wide technology roadmap of major initiatives and need your help to get us there!

In this interesting role, you will be developing and driving the technical structure, supporting feature rich business solutions in responsive design and mobile apps and making sure we achieve and exceed our performance standards for functionality.

 

Day to day, you will:

  • Develop front end interfaces that are responsive, function well and are visually appealing under a wide range of user display scenarios (and that follow a progressive enhancement mindset).
  • Produce responsive custom content, code and scripts to provide the best digital commerce and mobile solutions for our stakeholders.
  • Test front end site enhancements, bug fixes and functional developments. Work collaboratively with other FE Developers to give feedback, and be the first line response for resolving production issues.
  • Manage deployment of product release lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the digital team to ensure that content production is aligned with our technical and business requirements.
  • Assess, design, and develop front end solutions in alignment with WCAG 2.0.


Ideally you will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, XSLT.
  • Experience with advanced libraries (JQuery, React.js, and Angular.js).
  • Workflow automation tools exposure (e.g. Grunt/ Gulp).
  • User Interface design skills.
  • Solid experience with responsive web design and frameworks. (i.e. Bootstrap).
  • An understanding of performance monitoring and optimisation considerations, (e.g. minification, caching, JavaScript performance).
  • Working experience of Git source control and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of consuming web services and be familiar with AJAX/ CORS.
  • Server side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS in your toolkit
  • A deep understanding of configuration, performance issues and security issues related to web applications. (e.g. XSS, CSRF, session theft)
  • A good grasp of RESTful APIs.
  • Previous experience in Agile / Scrum teams
  • JIRA/Confluence, or similar workflow process tool.
  • CI/CD, cloud, CDN and hosting infrastructure. (E.g. Amazon AWS knowledge) skills.
  • Google Analytics or Google Analytics Premium; or Adobe Analytics set-up, tagging, and data architecture experience.
