About the role

We are currently seeking a Cloud Developer to join a newly established Delivery team here in Melbourne. You will help to build a high profile solution that will not only support other teams across Xero but also helps to delight our customers, and optimise their Xero experience..

You will work with your cross-functional team to deliver beautiful software that is valuable to our customers. You will have a willingness to learn, offer your ideas and collaborate to provide technical designs you are proud of. About you

We are looking for a passionate developer who has experience building distributed systems in the cloud and exposure to some of the issues and challenges faced in a production. Just as important as the technical experience is the ability to be #human and take ownership of your environment. We are so lucky to have excellent people to work with and offices to work in and we'd love you to be a part of it.

So for you to be successful in this role you'll be an experienced Developer working in an Agile delivery team and ideally have some experience with:

• Building a distributed cloud, saas product preferably built on AWS or Azure
• The challenges of building distributed systems with a microservice architecture.
• C#, .net Core, WebApi
• Containerisation (Docker and AWS ECS)
• React, Typescript, redux, sagas, code splitting, webpack.
• Jest, gatling, puppeteer
• CI/CD best practices (pushing all the way to prod)
• Design patterns and coding practices
• Agile methods and concepts
