What you’ll be doing

Join our agile environment as a Business Systems Analyst in the business platform team. You will be part of a team that is responsible for guiding and increasing the capabilities of our finance and identity management systems that support the Envato creative ecosystem.

Every single day will bring different challenges, but the key parts of your job will be:

• You will play a critical leadership role in one of our cross functional software development teams, collaborating daily with software engineers on delivery of user stories into production systems.
• You will be a champion for continuous improvement of the team’s agile practice, and actively participate in our agile rituals.
• Acquiring a deep understanding of the business domain and implementation of our finance and identity systems.
• Researching and analysing issues facing the business and presenting findings back to the team
• Providing training and support to colleagues across the business on new software features
• Ensuring the quality of releases by building and executing test plans
• Producing high quality documentation to describe current and future system states
• Facilitating workshops with delivery teams and domain specialists to help uncover issues and solutions
• Helping to prioritise a backlog of valuable work that balances immediate problems with longer term goals
• Participating in and leading agile delivery rituals

What we’re looking for

Are you an all-rounder who loves challenges, learns quickly and solves problems collaboratively?

Are you a superb communicator, skilled at conveying business concepts to tech partners, other specialists whilst keeping everybody informed?

Are you well-organised, highly motivated, and comfortable working on multiple initiatives concurrently?

Essential

• Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
• Sound technical capability so that you are comfortable discussing system design and curious about technology
• An ability to communicate ideas through documentation and presentation skills
• A love of data and the skills that help its understanding, including a working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Skilled at building empathy and fluency across the team
• Shared values with Envato’s caring, passionate and curious culture

Desired

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• Finance / Accounting systems
• High volume E-commerce systems
• Experience with identity management systems
• Experience with modeling techniques (UML, Use Cases, etc) and wireframing
• Degree qualified
