Eclipse Trading is a proprietary trading firm specializing in derivatives trading and is a leading options market maker in Asia. Combining our trading experience, technology and risk management, we currently trade the Asian markets and have offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney.

The team:

The successful candidate will join our UI development team, who are building the next generation of C# WPF derivative trading and risk management UIs.  The role will involve C# and WPF development initially, but over time include more HTML5 and JavaScript components.   We are now looking for someone who has a strong background in WPF, and either some experience in HTML5/JavaScript or a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement intuitive and highly usable user interfaces for pricing, risk management and execution
• Collaborate closely with traders to collect the requirements and devise solutions
• Manage projects from requirements analysis through to completion
• Partner with server side developers to define and implement integration points with existing server side trading applications
• Test code rigorously and participate in code reviews
• Play an active role in your team's growth and results

What you offer

• 5+ years experience in C# development in a financial domain, ideally developing real time event driven risk and/or principal trading UIs
• 3+ years experience in WPF development using an MVVM or MVPVM framework
• Experience with Reactive Extensions and asynchronous programming models
• Excellent English communication skills
• Experience working directly with business users to gather requirements and solicit feedback is preferred
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming, SOLID principles and Design Patterns
• Strong test driven mind-set and familiarity with Automated UI testing a plus
• Knowledge of UX Design principles
• A willingness to learn new skills/technology and some experience with web technologies is desirable
• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
