The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) is currently seeking an experienced Senior PHP Web Developer for front and back-end development in our in-house development team with strong PHP, MySQL, CSS3, SASS and jQuery skills.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication and inter-personal skills and a desire to work collaboratively on projects to deliver quality outcomes for internal clients.
Key accountabilities for this position include:
- Create and maintain websites, web applications and other web based online services using best practice methodologies.
- Contribute to web development projects and other online services projects.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new online services components.
- Assist with the maintenance of existing online services codebase including upgrading modules and systems, reviewing and enhancing existing code.
- Create add-ons to expand functionality of Expression Engine.
- Create stand-alone projects and prototypes from scratch to support business projects.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in a similar position. You will have an understanding of Agile methods and practices in web development and the ability to provide technical leadership and coaching to team members. The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) is an independent, not-for-profit educational research organisation. This position is offered as a full time, ongoing appointment with a salary of $93,014 per annum plus 17% ACER contribution to superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
