 This is an opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join a large financial institution in the heart of the Sydney CBD. As a product owner you will own a single, coherent product vision and roadmap, manifested as a product backlog and collaborate with customers and senior managers to understand needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business customers and stakeholders of a technical product
• Provide consultancy for technical products and capabilities for business customers
• Deliver a user experience including new features, availability and support
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value
• Continuously order and refine an effective product backlog, aligned to a clear product strategy and roadmap
• Own and manage risk, security and financial assets (software license, infrastructure)
• Promote continuous improvement of the Product Owner practice within the organisation
• Manage the lifecycle of the products

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience with technology products involving direct customer relationships
• Domain knowledge of Monitoring and Logging platforms and DevOps capabilities
• Experience in the leadership of agile delivery teams
• Thought leadership in Product Ownership
• Management experience spanning technology and business
• Experience in Business Case development and P&L/budget management for commercial IT
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with at least one product is desirable – Splunk Microsoft SCOM/SCCM or Appdynamics
