Services Required

• Provide security advice and support to the department in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and any evolution of the security risk management framework in use.
• Apply contemporary knowledge of emerging technology issues including information and cyber security trends, vulnerabilities and threats, associated identification and prevention techniques;
• Use experience to conduct proactive analytical and research tasks to meet the information and cyber security needs of stakeholders;
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to lead and conduct information and cyber security assessments; and
• Investigate information and cyber security vulnerabilities and assess the risk to stakeholders' systems and recommend mitigating strategies through research, analysis and reporting.

Deliverables

• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments on new and existing technologies including producing related IT Security documentation to support the department’s accreditation activities.
• Develop a variety of security documentation including but not limited to:
  • Business and technical threat and risk assessments;
  • Security Risk Management Plans;
  • System Security Plans;
  • Standard Operating procedures.
  • Statements of Applicability;
• Develop documentation to support the departments IT Security framework, including policies, risk management framework and system accreditation framework; and
• Deliver information on security awareness and training programs to staff.
