The Credit Union is currently increasing its investment in digital transformation, with a key focus on improving digital experience for our members and staff. As a consequence of the increased investment, a range of new projects and significant change activities are currently being undertaken and we are seeking an experienced project manager to join the team. The appointment will initially be on a 12 month contract basis with the possibility of an extension or transition to permanent employment.

Reporting to the Digital Project Manager the key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Contribute to the development of project objectives and agreed deliverables, including identification and assessment of alternative solutions and service providers.
• Create and manage project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle, including project planning, resource estimates and risk assessments.
• Chair, participate in and/or present to regular project and stakeholder group meetings. 
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of projects and key activities within agreed parameters and timeframes.
• Challenge and encourage project team members to deliver simple solutions. 
• Prepare and present submissions and supporting analysis for approval by the relevant Executive manager, Executive Committee and/or Project Management Office.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal project management practices.
• Provide support to the project management office.

The successful candidate will operate with a moderate degree of independence within the approved project framework and with guidance from the Digital Project Manager. The role will be required to simultaneously manage multiple projects and key change activities with a low to moderate level of complexity.

Although this role does not require a high level of technical knowledge, proven ability to successfully manage technology-based/digital projects is essential. Experience working with lean and human-centred design principles would also be desirable.
