About the role
  
Currently we are working with a large media organisation that requires a Systems Engineer with a background in UNIX and IBM storage solutions. This is a pivotal role in the company and will see the successful applicant looking after the existing infrastructure but also involved in various projects.
  
Essential skills and experience

Due to the nature of this role we are looking for a System Engineer that has extensive experience working with storage solutions and has experience with the IBM range of storage solutions. Essentially what we are working to find is someone with:  

• A minimum of 5 years experience in design and implementation in UNIX and storage solutions
• Prior experience as a System / Storage Engineer in an enterprise environment
• First rate knowledge of large scale storage and backup solutions (NAS and SAN)
• Experience with IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) and Protect (TSM)
• Hands on experience with Tivoli Storage Manager (HSM)
• History working in VMware virtualised environments
• Relevant certifications (IBM, UNIX / Linux) would be beneficial
