    This Analyst role’s main function with be to deliver a range of technology applications/development services through support, testing and maintenance of Technology Solutions aligned with business objectives. Additionally, Analyst Programmers act in a supporting capacity by providing fail and fix application support.

    In this role you will also be responsible for:

  • Work with Business Analysts to analyse business processes, procedures and user requirements in order to establish system requirements.
  • Participate in system design including production of system and program documentation as well as ongoing maintenance
  • Create development and support documentation and provide advice regarding applications to enable support function to work pro-actively
  • Contribute to conduct of post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the testing solution provided
    Undertake complex testing activities in relation to software solutions ensuring these meet agreed specifications
  • Develop comprehensive test scripts and scenarios based on testing plan in accordance with standard procedures and templates
  • To be successful in this role you must have the below skills and experience:

  • Developed skills in one or more of the major programming languages (either 'legacy' or 'hot') such as Cobol, C++, Visual Basic, .NET, XML, ASP, COM/DCOM and/or SQL.
  • Developed skills and knowledge of one of the major relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or DB2.
  • Good understanding of both Control-M and Remedy.
  • Good skills in personal work organisation and time management.
  • 3+ years of experience in Programming and Applications Design, with a minimum of 2 years of general IT experience, coupled with tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline.
