Your new role
As TelstraSuper embarks on the next phase of our strategic plan with digital and IT strategies at its core; we have looked at how we best deliver the technology modernization and digital roadmaps and cloud transformation in support of our objectives. To ensure we have the IT capabilities required to deliver our technology based solutions we have a new role in our Development Team which will see you provide your expertise to ensure all non-production environments monitored, maintained and provide quick turnarounds in all aspects of infrastructure support for delivery teams.
What we are looking for? You are an experienced DevOps Engineer who has strong system administration experience and infrastructure management across VMWare, vSphere, Microsoft Technology Stack including Azure/Office 365 and solid experience in design, run and support Infrastructure As Code. You are highly proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, Python and Ruby, and have solid experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity and Octopus. You are a skilled communicator with a strong attention to detail. Your pride yourself on your ability to self-manage and you have exceptional organizational skills.
Ideally, you will have;
- Demonstrated 4+ years’ of experience in system administration
- Experience in using Infrastructure As Code (IAC) best practices, create automated infrastructure, including package management, application configuration, systems monitoring and administration.
- Experience in Azure Platform including monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics, including Application Insights, Log Analytics, Network Monitoring, Service Health, and dashboards
- Understanding and exposure to Azure operational security best practices
- Experience in delivering enterprise grade solutions that are resilient and highly available.
- Demonstrated CI/CD experience with tools like Team City, Octopus, any exposure to Puppet and Docker is advantageous
- Demonstrated GIT experience
- Experience with test and process automation
- Experience with service/application integration with client API’s and third-party applications
- Experience in .Net technologies, including C#, ASP.MVC, ASP.Net, WCF, Entity Framework is advantageous
- Experience in leading teams or project activities is desirable
- Excellent research, analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong self-manage, self-organise, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong customer focus service ethic and interpersonal skills
- Strong agile mindset, always look for opportunities to automate everything!
