Our client, a National media based organisation are seeking a Web Administrator / Level 2 Service Desk to join the I.T team.
The primary duties of the Web Administrator / Level 2 Service Desk include:
- Provide specialist assistance and troubleshooting as required for web systems, all legacy platforms, software and emerging digital capabilities.
- Monitor and prepare reports on usage and performance of websites.
- Monitor tickets with external contractors providing web development and maintenance.
- Implementation and UAT of web systems.
- Provide best practice SEO advice to the internal content teams.
- Liaise with internal IT team regarding support services for NFSA web platforms and for site development.
- Assess hosting and web infrastructure environment; provide implementation recommendations.
- Provide level 2 Service Desk support for Web and other digital systems.
To be considered for this Web Administrator / Level 2 Service Desk role you must have:
- Experience with common web platforms and technologies. In particular we are interested in Drupal/Wordpress/Django experience.
- Intermediate skills in areas such as HTML, CSS, Javascript/ XML, JQuery, PHP, ASP/ASPX, or Python, including working with third party APIs would be valued.
- Highly developed organisational skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an understanding of project management principles, application development methodologies and experience in the use of quality processes and testing.
- Knowledge and understanding of current web trends and issues, including web standards, usability, accessibility, open data access, social media.
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills, including the ability to contribute to solving complex technical problems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively using well-developed interpersonal, strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to convey or translate complex technical information to target audiences is essential.
