The role
Our client requires the services of two Senior Windows Server Administrators to meet the ongoing support requirements of the department’s server platforms.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated expertise and extensive Wintel experience (5+ years) in administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server based enterprise environments (2008, 2012 etc.) in geographically dispersed organisations.
- High-level experience in 2nd and 3rd level technical support of Windows Server environments including active directory, group policy, account management, DNS, DFS etc.
- High developed troubleshooting capability with the ability to work independently and in small teams with limited oversight and tight timeframes.
Highly Desirable:
- PowerShell scripting skills with a focus on automating Windows Server administration tasks
- Experience in the administration of enterprise mobile device management (MDM) systems like MobileIron, Good or Blackberry.
- Experience administering virtualized server infrastructure like VMWare and\or Nutanix.
- High level communication, co-ordination and organisational skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well in a small team environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information and concepts to non-technical staff and senior management in a clear, easy to understand.
Desirable:
- Administration and support experience across all Microsoft enterprise products (e.g. SQL Server, SharePoint, Exchange, CRM).
- Experience in the design of highly available solutions in high security environments
- Experience with security related software and functions in the Windows server environment like AppLocker, multifactor authentication, security software suites (like Trend Micro) etc.
- Experience administering public key infrastructure (PKI) in a Windows Server enterprise environment.
- Administration and support experience across Citrix products.
- Experience administering, maintaining and supporting cloud services and infrastructure like Microsoft Azure, AWS etc.
