We are now seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join us in a pivotal role in the provisioning of a 24/7 IT service within the Business Systems team supporting our Insurance business. This role provides coordination and management of all aspects of IT infrastructure and associated technologies to ensure service quality to end-users is maintained at high levels.

We are at the start of our journey to Cloud, which we are leveraging to enhance our member experience. This is an exciting time to join RAC Insurance and help shape this journey.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Delivery and Operations, this position is a full-time, 12 month maximum term opportunity.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Day-to-day management of a team of five to six technical specialists to develop skills in new and emerging technologies
  • Manage the IT infrastructure and associated technologies
  • Implement innovative and cost effective technology infrastructure solutions
  • Lead production support teams to ensure effective delivery of application and infrastructure services to agreed levels
  • You will be responsible for SLA/KPI/Cybersecurity Framework definition and performance management
  • Develop plans to minimise and mitigate potential risks within IT operations
  • Manage vendor, supplier and partner relationships

 

What are we looking for in you?

  • 5 years’ experience managing IT operations (essential)
  • Working experience in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Working experience of Cloud technologies, e.g. Azure desirable
  • Working experience of enterprise scale SQL/Oracle database
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or IT related field
  • ITIL certified
