Fantastic opportunity exists for a Support Developer to join a market leading Tech company, based in their Melbourne CBD hub.

THE ROLE

Seeking a strong coder with a great troubleshooting mindset to hone their skills working for a team renown for their innovative and analytic capabilities. You will be owning and investigating a wide variety of issues at both an application and database level on a system which handles more requests per minute than Amazon! 

You'll also be producing well-written and robust solutions for these issues, responsible for the deployment of fixes (within both test and live environments) and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure a quick resolution using ITIL processes.

YOUR SKILLS

To be successful you MUST have the following:

• The ability to find the root cause of an issue and create solutions to complex problems
• Demonstrable coding in skills in one major language (Java, J2EE, C, C++, etc)
• Working knowledge of SQL (writing queries), and at least one enterprise database environment
• Strong understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms - someone who likes tackling problems is more important than specific languages
• Exceptional Linux/Unix admin skills
• Web technologies and internet protocols (XML, HTTP, TCP/IP)

Bonus points if you have experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) development.
