Senior I.T. Project Manager

The I.S. Business Lead is a multi-facet role within the Project Delivery team with the purpose of managing the planning, delivery and transition phases of strategic and tactical initiatives involving both Information Services (IS) and business units within the organization.

The Project Delivery team is responsible for:

• Delivering projects in alignment with FMG I.S. project methodologies and standards
• Actively managing planning, delivery and transition activities to agreed scope, budget and timeframes
• Regular and effective project communications to both I.S. and business stakeholders
• Collaborating with the various I.S. teams to enable the successful delivery of business objectives
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing business relationships

Key accountabilities will include:

1. Delivery Management

• Drive project feasibility scoping and requirements definition, business case development and other related activities, working in conjunction with other parts of the business and IS to maintain engagement and manage expectations.
• Development of key project deliverables ie plans, schedule, budget, testing, commissioning
• Actively track and review risks and issues impacting successful project delivery
• Manage project budgets including forecasting, actual and planned reporting
• Regularly communicating project status with I.S. and project steering committees
• Engage with ‘Business as Usual’ operations stakeholders ensuring a successful transition from project delivery
• Ensure team resources and stakeholders remain engaged throughout the project including vendors and site-based staff

1. Relationship Management

• Become a 'Trusted Advisor' to business partners and advise on the various Information Services offerings.

1. Self-Development

• Take responsibility for maintaining an adequate Project Management skill set to perform all tasks required of the role ie continued PMP certification
• Actively review and keep abreast of current and emerging technologies ie Cloud, LTE

Qualifications and skills required:

• Minimum 10+ years' experience in in a similar role
• PMP or Prince 2 Practitioner Certification
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, or related experience
• Experience managing complex I.S. projects
• Excellent communication skills with strong client focus
• Commercial or Consulting IT experience (highly desirable)
• Diploma or Certificate in Frontline Management (highly desirable)
• Certification in ITIL V3 (highly desirable)
• Broad understanding across Infrastructure and Application technologies to support business process
• Strong time management & organisational skills -  able to prioritise & multitask
• Ability to understand complex and detailed business processes
• Knowledge of emerging technology trends, IT functions, basic architecture
