Fantastic 6 month contract opportunity for Data Strategy & Governance Manager for a leading client in North Sydney. You’ll be responsible for providing data architecture direction for the implementation road map and continuous enhancement in data accuracy on business classification and detail as part of a single view of business premises across Australia
In this role you’ll be tasked to provide direction, coordination and implementation of our clients business segment data strategy. This role is responsible for understanding critical data needs of stakeholders and steer data strategy and architecture accordingly. The successful applicant will need to provide recommendations on how to refine and refresh our clients data strategy based on current industry trends and best practices, business goals and to align with transformational initiatives.
- Strong experience with defining and implementing data transformational programs such as data strategy
- Strong knowledge of geospatial data and business demographic datasets, tools and techniques, including complex implementations of Google APIs
- Experience with complex technology from either a product management or operations background.
- Experience in data acquisition, integration, and optimisation from 3rd party data providers
- Being an SME on matters related to corporate policy, data security, data IP, major/complex problems, and issues having company-wide impact.
- Act as the business lead for the delivery of the Business Segment Strategic Data roadmap to ensure business outcomes are met and refined where appropriate.
- Analysing critical data needs of stakeholders and directing the business unit’s data strategy and architecture accordingly
- Perform a lead role in embedding data governance within Business Segment to drive adherence to regulatory and compliance obligations
- Experience in designing and documenting business processes to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Define and establish data quality metrics, process and framework for data that is critical for the operations of Business Segment
- An established catalogue of data assets used within business segment where critical data sets are understood and appropriate levels of controls are implemented to mitigate risks to these data sets.
- Experience with data integration with large volumes of data into a Master Data Management application
- Experience with establishing data governance & data quality process and framework
- Knowledge of and experienced designing and architecting DataMart’s.
- Highly developed analytics, strategic knowledge, and understanding of business drivers
- Experience in designing and documenting business processes to both internal and external stakeholders.
Telco experience hugely advantageous
