About the Role
The Head of IT Operations is responsible for ensuring the operational availability, security, efficiency and continuity of Console’s production and business systems in an effective and transparent manner.
This individual’s principal goals are to improve the capability maturity of the operational technology services, defining and delivering on Service Level Agreements with Console’s internal business units and external customers.
You will be accountable for the planning, coordination, direction and design of all operational activities of the IT operational service teams.  The role is also accountable for the financial budgeting and management of the teams, systems and infrastructure that they oversee, as well as providing direction and support for IT solutions and projects that enhance mission-critical business operations.
They will work closely with the executive team and their direct reports in each area to identify, recommend, develop and implement cost-effective operational systems and support to ensure that technology is supporting the needs of each part of the business.
  
To be successful, you will have

• Tertiary qualification in an area of Information Technology or relevant experience
• 3-5+ years’ experience in management role overseeing service delivery teams such as production support, DevOps or service desk for a medium-sized (+100 employees) organisation
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
• Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Proven knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
