The GNSS CORS Operations Officer will contribute to improvement initiatives that ensure the GNSS CORS infrastructure and services maintains international best practice, and continually adapt and evolve to remain relevant and responsive to Victoria's geospatial community. They will provide advice and recommendations for improvement on service delivery related issues as well as liaise and build relationships with stakeholders, including value added resellers; federal, state and local government agencies; and industry sector agencies that rely upon Victoria's GNSS CORS infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have formal qualifications in surveying or spatial sciences, and 3 to 5 years' experience in a related field. They will be experienced in spatial technology operations, project activity and/or service delivery particularly relating to GNSS and or CORS Networks as well as an understanding in the practice of surveying, including the use of equipment such as GNSS receivers and antennas. It is ideal that they have Business Development Skills including the ability to manage GPSnet Value Added Resellers, Host partners, Supplier/Vendor Contracts and Department Tender processes (when necessary) to assist with the ongoing development and enhancement of the GPSnet service.
