An opportunity has arisen for a skilled PMO/Assurance Analyst to join a large community services organisation working on major transformation initiative. Providing quality independent assurance to these programs, the role will be hands-on with the perfect opportunity for flexible working arrangements (you choose the days you work!).
This is an initial 6 month part-time contract opportunity, with the possibility of an extension, located in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality independent assurance to major transformation programs and steering committees
- Be an advocate for and champion of the pragmatic use of the Stage Gate review process
- Provide a strong focus on the integrity of scope and the achievability of outcomes and benefits for programs and projects
- Lead independent program and project assurance reviews to provide action plans to lift delivery capability
- Review and collaboratively assist projects and programs to improve Business case submissions and project documentation
- Establish and manage reviews at key project stages or changes
- Track and report on the progress of projects against agreed delivery approach, stages and deliverables
- Conduct monthly status health checks, perform data collection and analysis and derive meaningful insights to aid decision making
- Ensure programs are greater than the sum of their component parts
- Provide expert guidance on high level definition and planning of projects upfront through to closure
- Focus on assisting stakeholders to gather data / measurements and the systems around benefits planning throughout the benefits lifecycle
- Ensure quality planning and risk management practice is followed
- Produce and deliver high quality oral presentations and written materials
Key Selection Criteria:
- Able to engage and build partnerships with different business units and stakeholders
- Having worked in a portfolio or program office function in a governance, planning or senior support role
- Project delivery experience with a focus on quality and assurance
- Process mapping and continuous improvement
- Senior stakeholder and relationship management
- Has experience working in a Prince2 environment
- Ability to document and author frameworks / processes
- Has strong analytical thinking with a tendency to see the bigger picture
Highly desirable:
- Experience with Project planning tools such Microsoft Project
- Prince2 or P30 qualified
