Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager this position will be responsible for hardware technical teams spread across the country.  Although this is a leadership role it is a very hands on position, where the Manager will be expected to roll up their sleeves and help the team out as required, leading by example so the successful candidate must have strong technical skills.  The leadership responsibilities of this role will be to:

Define the Future - Create and provide clarity around the vision and future for the technical team.

Inspire – Leading by example, the successful candidate will build trust within the team and encourage a forward thinking focus and develop high levels of engagement within the team.

Team Focus - Show consideration for individuals and team's well-being and development, whilst holding the team accountable to their commitments.

Relationship Building - Guide the team to work successfully despite natural differences within the team and other departments whilst facilitating strong team relationships and team success all while promoting and maintaining a fun and enjoyable work environment.

Communication Skills – Use outstanding communication skills to connect and develop strong relationships with technical team members to provide timely and appropriate feedback. 

Support Work Improvements - Develop and maintain guidelines and best practice techniques that create best practice work processes, whilst encouraging team members to submit their own opportunities for improvement that provide improvements for both the team and clients.

Encourage Potential and Support Individual Improvement - Provide support, knowledge, mentoring and coaching to support individual improvement.

Support Team Performance - Provide the standards, tools and maintain an environment that will support high level performance within the team and interaction with other departments.

Essential Skills and Experience:

We are seeking an individual with a strong technical background, however as the focus of this role is on team leadership, the following characteristics are essential:

  • Ability to audit, appraise, design and implement tasks and processes

  • Knowledge and experience in diverse technologies, imaging hardware and processes, network management and administration.
  • Ability to provide support to the Sales team with technically/logistically complex requests and requirements.
  • Budget management of costs within your domain
  • Team auditing and reporting.
  • Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics experience
  • Provide hands on technical support as required.
  • Ability to regularly travel interstate.
