What will your role be?

Based in our Melbourne office, this critical role will ensure technical success of our QUINTIQ projects on all aspects of integration, scalability, performance and security.

This opportunity will suit an experienced technology enthusiast who has a natural affinity with how software works. A Quintiq Technical Consultant is someone with superior technical and analytical skills who is confident in facing customers in a consultancy role. It is expected that you have a broad understanding of diverse range of enterprise software (ERPs, DMS, middleware, MSSQL / Oracle databases, AD, etc) and hardware (physical and VM) used by our customers.

Collaborating with tier 1 companies and our internal project team, and your job is to workshop and understand the technical as well as relevant business requirements of the client, then propose software and integration architectures as well as specify hardware requirements. You will have had proven experience in articulating this vision to the client, and guide them through successful implementation of QUINTIQ.

You will be involved at every stage of a project, from providing technical expertise and knowledge about the Quintiq technology during the presales cycle, through delivery of the solution and to supporting some post go-live issues.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Work as the single point of technical contact from Quintiq during projects to recommend to customers the implementation and deployment architecture of Quintiq solutions, including proposals of hardware requirements
  • Ensure the integration success of a Quintiq implementation
  • Ensure the performance and scalability success of a Quintiq implementation
  • Ensure the success of the authorization and authentication aspects of a Quintiq implementation
  • Provide technical and integration consultation to customers and partners regarding their Quintiq implementation
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of technical (non-functional) issues in projects in a structured analytical manner
  • Collaborate with R&D to diagnose, troubleshoot and document technical issues relating to the Quintiq software
  • Collaborate with customers to manage Quintiq environments
  • Develop best practices and procedures to streamline software deployments
  • Make recommendations for optimizing Quintiq software performance
  • Contribute to answering RFI/RFP
  • Contribute to the definition of the Statement of Work
  • Capitalise on project deliverables to ensure reusability and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to deployment, presales and project success by ensuring on-time and efficient delivery, while protecting project margin.

Your key success factors?

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Broad IT background in the enterprise arena - a ‘jack of all trades’
  • Intermediate years of commercial experience
  • Software development background or Demonstrated success as the technical administrator of a complex customised application
  • Preferably familiar with the use and benefits of virtual machine environments such as VMWare or HyperV
  • Some background in load and performance testing is an advantage
  • Australian Citizenship is a must
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and related technologies such as Active Directory
  • Basic to intermediate troubleshooting skills with network connectivity, and in Microsoft Windows 7 and Server 2008/2012
  • Working knowledge of either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS, especially basic configuration of connectivity and databases/schemas
  • Knowledge of some enterprise integration technologies such as JMS/MQ, SOAP, REST, SAP PI, ODBC, and standard data formats including XML, JSON
  • Communicate well with different stakeholders, from developers to business consultants, and managers to customers
  • Demonstrated success in technical solution consulting
  • Experience in Technical Architecture definition
  • Sound experience in Applications Servers Administration and database Administration
  • A track record of success building trust relationships with customer and stakeholders at all levels
