On the look out for a Talented Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years experience and at least 5 years recent experience within the Telecommunications Industry with a focus on Networks. The ideal Project Manager will have the ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguous, complex and changing environments with strong technical and problem solving abilities. High level stakeholder engagement will be hugely advantageous

 

Initial 6 Month contract - Based in North Sydney - Great daily rate on offer 

 

- Project Manager - Networks/ Infrastructure 

• Participating in Network Engineering related vendor evaluations, RFPs, Feasibility studies, Proof of Concepts and technology demonstrations as required.
• Development of project plans and schedules in Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Schedule to the required level of detail, including all interfaces, dependencies and drivers towards other projects within the business.
• Monitor and track actual progress of the schedule and dependencies against key milestones.
• Maintain schedules with inputs from delivery agents (including vendors where applicable).
• Deliver schedule summaries of the upcoming activities for the technology domain with day-to-day visibility of upcoming tasks and potential resourcing conflicts
• Effective delivery of specified project(s) on-time, on-budget and in alignment with customer expectations
• Efficient identification and ongoing management of key influences on specified project(s), such as risks, issues, incoming/outgoing dependencies, scope changes, change requests etc.  This also includes the ongoing tracking and maintenance of the detailed project schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Schedule and resource forecasting (if required) updated regularly to reflect the baseline and actual outcomes
• Preparing necessary project management report documentation in accordance with any required reporting standards
• Report all project Issues and Risks and develop appropriate mitigation and controls to manage each of them.  Execute timely and appropriate escalation where required.

 

• Certification in Project Management frameworks: PRINCE2, PMBOK or PMP, Agile, SCRUM.
• Experience managing medium technically complex network development projects across all phases of the solution development life cycle from project initiation through to project closure
• Previous full life cycle project management experience
• Experience in change management within complex environments
• Experience in working with clients to collect, assemble, prioritise and address business and key requirements
• Proven experience liaising with multiple stakeholders within a large organisation, including both internal and external stakeholders
• Commercially aware of current business drivers
• Experience in managing vendors and major contracts
• Understanding of telecommunication architecture framework
• Understanding of solution architecture development methodologies
• Experience in managing teams of technology or process engineers

 

Project Management experience within the Telecommunications industry within the last 5 years is a absolute must to be considered for this amazing opportunity.
