We are currently seeking applications for the role of Software Engineer in a Lead or a Senior capacity to join our Product Development Team to lead the software design and architecture.

Let’s talk about the role:

As the Lead or Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented software engineers in designing, developing, and verifying software for embedded microprocessors in medical products. You will be responsible for ensuring the software design meets the architecture and interface requirements of projects and you will typically contribute to the development and specification of those requirements. You will work with the software team to deliver quality software and documentation required to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

You will actively engage in the continued development of your technical skills in line with new technologies and methodologies relevant to the development of medical products and you will provide coaching and mentoring to less senior engineers or colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in performing the following responsibilities in a fast paced environment:

• Providing software design and development leadership within a team developing real-time embedded software.

• Documenting Software architecture and design in line with quality standards and regulations.

• Implementing and verifying software using automated tools and ensuring quality of software applications.

• Interfacing with project stakeholders to ensure that system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives

• Communicating with peers and supervisor routinely, documenting work, facilitating meetings, and driving decisions.

You will have an Engineering or Science degree such as Software, Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent with a considerable commercial embedded software design and programming experience in a product development environment.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in peer technical reviews, quality systems and design using UML and experience with Bluetooth, cellular technologies is highly desirable.

Candidates from medical, mobile, or automotive industries will be highly regarded.
