WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design, develop and maintain the automation frameworks.
  • Automate testing of user interfaces.
  • Automate testing of middleware components such as API’s.
  • Develop tools and utilities that assist manual testers.
  • Analyse functional or non-functional requirements and develop automated test scripts to identify system defects.
  • When required, coordinate the work of other automators within a project or agile team.
  • Compile, maintain and review test documentation.
  • Monitor and report test metrics and the status of testing progress during development/project cycles.
  • Estimate development requirements to determine scope of development/project cycles.
  • Review and provide input into acceptance criteria
  • Perform non-functional testing within agile teams.
  • Develop, document, maintain, comply, contribute to and champion process improvements.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance in test processes, applications and automation tools.
  • Perform non-functional testing within agile teams as required.
  • Configure, document and maintain test environments.
  • Provide system support by investigating, liaising and advising on problems reported by internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • IT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years developer experience, with at least 3 years in C# .Net development or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience within a software test environment.
  • Exposure to commercial development of software and end to end IT applications testing.
  • Moderate SQL scripting experience.
  • Knowledge of test strategies (manual and automation).
  • Ability to translate test scripts into automated tests.
  • Ability to work within an agile team collaborating with product owners/business analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate into appropriate automation solutions.
  • Proficient in the use of source control and test management software (Microsoft Visual Studio preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to conceptualise, write and deploy written processes and procedures in a collaborative environment.
  • High level of analytic problem solving skills.
  • Well organised and detailed oriented, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to keeping abreast of test practices and industry developments.
