About us
The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian Government-owned organisation. The role of the TAC is to promote road safety through the Towards Zero road deaths and serious injuries strategy, improve the State's trauma system and support those who have been injured on our roads.
About the role
The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for facilitating the development and ongoing management of an optimised portfolio, ensuring senior management decisions lead to the fulfilment of the TAC 2020 Strategic Objectives through the delivery of programs and projects.
Duties
- Provide a strategic overview of all programs, projects and interdependencies, reporting exceptions or areas of concern to senior management
- Analyse portfolio and make recommendations
- Balance and/or optimise the portfolio in terms of strategic goal attainment vs. delivery capacity and/or capability, including business as usual activities
- Evaluate and help to implement process improvements and facilitate governance and portfolio meetings
- Develop and maintain the Portfolio Management Dashboard and portfolio delivery plan
- Provide support and information to business planning and develop and maintain a portfolio dependency register
- Assess benefits management across a number of programs or projects to identify gaps, overlaps and conflicts, and eliminate double counting in the benefits management plans of individual programs and projects
- Provide decision and governance support by regularly reviewing the appropriateness and deliverability of the portfolio, reviewing relative business priorities and risk profiles, and escalate issues to the relevant governance committees.
About you
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the integrated management of scope, time, cost, resources, and quality, ultimately informing a portfolio view of status and exceptions.
- Proven experience in management of cross functional teams and environments, ensuring ongoing high performance of team members.
- Demonstrated experience in developing portfolio management dashboards, including effective communications with business and technology stakeholders.
- Understanding and working experience of government agency environments or similar regulated industries.
- Understanding of project methodologies and associated measurement/ reporting standards and controls.
