About Your Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has come about to join our in-house IT Service Desk as an Analyst.
The IT Service Desk Analyst is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining the Microsoft Windows desk and notebook computers, terminals, Smartphones, printers and associated peripherals, also solving user technology issues for the Australia business.
This role reports directly to our Service Delivery Manager for the Pacific region and will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all end users including Branch and Franchise employees.
This role requires a candidate open to the possibility of working evenings and weekends with little advanced notice. An on-call roster participation is used and will be responsible for support during these times by contact via company cell phone for critical outages in a timely response.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond timeously to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues assigned to them.
- Advise user on appropriate action, sometimes education of user is required.
- Log all service desk interactions and document issue resolution using the ITSM system.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
- Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department.
- Work with outside vendors as needed.
- Install and support user applications such as Mail and web gateways, user applications and any other systems used by Avis Budget Group.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Ability to recognise, analyse, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed time management skills
- Friendly and approachable with a passion for excellent customer service
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange environment.
- Citrix, VMware and basic server exposure.
- Experience supporting a variety of Wi-Fi enabled devices.
- Experience supporting remote users.
