This company is a global provider of IT consulting, projects services and specialist consulting, with strong local heritage based on high customer service and onsite resources. Due to an internal promotion they now require a Technical Services Manager to lead a team of network and system engineers in the delivery of professional project services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Key client contact for a number of mid-enterprise clients for whom this vendor provides infrastructure project services. You will need to develop strong business relationships, be a trusted "go-to' leader that all clients reach out to to solve any issues, and also manage expectations in the delivery of complex, mid-high cost infrastructure projects
  • Lead a team of 15-30 network and system engineers to ensure optimal project utilisation, a high performance culture, ongoing professional and personal development of staff, as well as hiring staff and contract resources as required
  • Act as the escalation point for technical problems and challenges, to either resolve personally or engage other SME's to ensure a quick resolution for the client
  • Play an important role in the delivery of new business client proposals for project services to existing and new clients, as a support function to the sales team, pre-sales architects and executive leadership team.
  • Based on-site at client sites 80% of the time, across 4-6 key clients mainly in the CBD, CBD fringe and inner suburbs
Key Skills and Experience required
  • Background as a network or system engineer with significant experience in hands on roles in enterprise organisations, who progressed into a team leadership role
  • Experience working for a managed services or project services vendor engaging with customers with responsibility for project delivery and/or managed services
  • Significant experience in leadership roles
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills
