Mining and Construction Technology Specialist
We are Australia’s largest privately owned mining, construction and maintenance services company, working across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
The sustained growth we are experiencing now, presents an exciting opportunity for a Mining and Construction Technology Specialist to join our team.
Reporting to the General Manager Technology you will be responsible for supporting our company’s Technology business unit as a specialist in the application of technology in contract mining and construction to improve operational outcomes.
Working in a diverse environment, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development of cross functional working groups to define, develop and implement technology capability
- Leading the development of BGC Contractors capabilities in applying emerging technologies to improve project performance
- Contributing to technology enabled projects as a mining, construction and spatial engineering subject matter expert
- Contributing to Technology projects through leadership of implementation activities at projects and engagement of operational personnel
What we’re looking for:
- Project Technical Services or Engineering experience in the mining or construction industry
- Experience in technology evaluation
- An engineering qualification with recent project Engineering exposure
- Advanced Project Management Skills
- Advanced Change Management skills
