Our Edinburgh Park based client is currently looking for an experienced Network Security Consultant to analyse a classified network, assess risks, provide advice, report threats and write compliant documents. Due to the nature of the work, the applicants must have NV1 clearance and must be eligible to obtain NV2. 

Key deliverables of this role are:

• Produce, coordinate and provide advice, assistance, and system-specific policy on contemporary information and ICT security to stakeholders, drawing upon contemporary knowledge of emerging technology issues including information and ICT security trends, vulnerabilities and threats, associated identification and prevention techniques.
• Responsible for analysis, review, advice and reporting of ICT Security assessment and compliance of ICT security capabilities and the provision of advice on emerging ICT and Protective security matters.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to lead and conduct ICT self-assessment preliminary to submission for formal re-accreditation.
• Identify ICT security vulnerabilities and assess the Risk to stakeholders' systems and recommend mitigating strategies through research, analysis and reporting.
• Take the initiative to identify and provide pragmatic, Risk-based solutions and seek advice and guidance on more complex ICT security issues.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Recent experience in ICT Security Risk Management and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Information Security Policy, Security Risk Management Plan, Emergency Procedures, Business Continuity and DR Plans.
• IRAP Assessor Certification - highly desirable.
• CISM/GIAC/GCFA - good to have either of the following
• Good written and spoken communication skills are essential to support effective communication.
