An excellent permanent opportunity exists for a JavaScript Senior Developer, to join our Melbourne based client, in a busy project environment.
 
This is a hands on role, which requires extensive JavaScript and Java development skills and experience, where you are required to manage the development and support of Online Applications.
 
You will work well both autonomously and within a team environment, with ability to understand business objectives and how they translate into technical requirements; ensuring the business meets their desired outcomes.
 
Skills and experience:

• 7+ years development experience (preferred in Java & JavaScript)
• 2+ years of Node (JavaScript) development experience
• Web development experience (HTML5, CSS)
• Responsive Design experience
• Advanced technical skills across JavaScript, Node, React.
• 1+ years React / Redux experience (desirable)
• Microservice design & architecture experience
• AWS architecture knowledge, including Docker, ECS, S3, SQS
• DevOps experience
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience working within an Agile development environment

 
Responsibilities include:

• Support and development of all current and future I.T. applications and associated systems by specialising in;
  • Java development
  • JavaScript (node.js) development
• Experience developing with;
  • Web Pages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Web services integration (Rest, Soap)
  • Experience with databases (relational & non- relational)
  • Version control (Git)
  • Cloud-first development practices

• Implement new features
• Development and support of Online Applications
• Provide technical research, assistance and advice to the technical lead to ensure the success of projects to agreed timeframes
• Improve the performance, security, reliability and maintenance of the platform
