Progressive IT are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer for a Fintech company based in Sydney CBD.
We are seeking a goal-orientated team player, with outstanding technical skills. You must also have good time management with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, whilst setting realistic timeframes and delivering on time.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Develop world-leading products for financial markets and wealth management domains using modern tools and techniques
- Review and analyse business requirements, developing solutions to enhance the companies’ product offering and the end user experience
- Perform software engineering tasks to ensure the highest levels of product quality are met
- Work as an integral part of the web application development team
- Work on new and existing features as well as troubleshooting and fixing issues
- Take personal ownership of work and be able to work autonomously
- Be agile, adjusting and reviewing work and projects in response to changing requirements
Core Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
- Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science.
- Strong understanding of web standards and architecture.
- Strong web application development skills using Javascript libraries like React.
- Exceptional front-end development skills using modern HTML5, CSS and JS.
- Experience with web application development on mobile and desktop.
- Best practice around implementing responsive design
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.0
- Adaptability to employ a wide range of technologies.
- Knowledge of multi-tiered object oriented application development.
- Good knowledge of software design patterns and when to use them.
- Experience in the cycle of software development, and agile methodologies.
- Ability to set realistic timeframes and deliver on time with a can-do attitude.
- Team player, goal-oriented individual, with outstanding technical skills
