A little about the high performing and fun Technology Team at World Vision Australia:

An exceptional newly created opportunity has arisen for a System Engineer professional to showcase their capabilities in our high performing team to focus on remote monitoring and management solutions in a high-paced and ever-changing environment.

A day in the life of our System Engineer may include some of the following:

  • Looking after end to end Windows Server Life Cycle Management
  • Orchestration of Server Deployments via on premise/public cloud infrastructure
  • Provide solution design and technical advice on all areas of IT managed services and project delivery including cloud solutions and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Delivery of detailed documentation to support projects
  • Provide third level technical Windows support
  • Document all build and security baselines, and comply with these baselines for all deployment and improvement activities

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years experience providing level 3 support
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with capacity to assess and resolve technical issues and initiate improvements.
  • Experience working in a high-paced, ever-changing environment 
  • Highly collaborative and driven to deliver outstanding solutions. 
  • Strong VMWare, storage, networking and cloud solutions skills.
  • Experience in the administration, support and maintenance of:
    • Windows servers 2008 and 2012
    • Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems 
  • Experience with Active Directory, Splunk & Group Policy Management
  • Microsoft Azure & Cloud Services: PowerShell/SQL
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management solutions.
  • Cisco router experience would be highly regarded.
  • Current relevant industry certification – e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, VMWare, ITIL

This role is a permanent position operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
