WebcastCloud are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to work with an exciting and innovative video software-as-a-service (SasS) company with a credible Australian and global customer base.
This is a multi-facet role managing the day to day operations of our Cloud Services and supporting the successful delivery of our client’s large on-premise video platform environments.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- 5+ years solid experience as a systems engineer
- Experience with Amazon Web Services & serverless computing (EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, Elastic IP, CloudFormation, Elastic Cache, Lambda and more)
- Strong background in Microsoft operating systems, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory
- Sound knowledge of Single Sign-On
- Prior experience in a Level 2 / Level 3 IT Support role
- You will be highly experienced in a hands-on technical role, responsible for events, planning, monitoring, alerts, outages, crises, change, configuration and troubleshooting
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Management, implementation and monitoring of AWS servers and SaaS applications
- Be the primary point of content for escalation and resolution of all 2nd/3rd level incidents
- Level 2/3 support for on-premise customers
- Troubleshoot, document & resolve customer faults through to resolution
- Management of incidents escalated to 3rd party vendor’s and/or technology providers as required
- Specify, define and document design processes, standards and practices related to the data network to ensure best practices are maintained
- Onsite Installation, Training, and project management for client deployments and upgrades
- Must become a Subject Matter Expert on our Technologies and Services, and use a consultative style, advise customers on how to best utilize our products
- Technically support the sales team to deliver product demonstrations, presentations as well as training for end users as required
- Provide technical, communications and leadership skills to facilitate, mentor and lead
The application must have:
- Strong Project Management, organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines and commitments
- Must be forward thinking and have the ability to think outside the square
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong deductive troubleshooting skills necessary
