Job Description
Your new role
Supporting the catalogue service offering for the Centralised Processing (CP) Program - a key Defence ICT program, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to Service Catalogue automated offering and configuration and support of HPUD network discovery software discover network devices on the WAN (along with application-specific information). Additionally, provide consulting and advising on the use of the HPUD tool for application discovery, analysis, asset management and reporting.
You may be required to carry out varied application administration assignments requiring familiarity and expertise with a broad field of engineering and knowledge, which may include planning and estimating, status monitoring and reporting; devising new approaches, applying existing criteria in new manners and drawing conclusions from comparative situations; application upgrades, configuration and deployment; report creation and generation; system documentation.
Qualifications
About you and what you will bring
If we were looking for a unicorn we would expect you to have professional experience within the relevant technologies including: HP Universal Discovery (UD), VMWare vRA/vRO, Service Now Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) and infrastructure management concepts. However we understand unicorns don’t exist so mainly looking for someone with professional experience in the technologies of VMWare vRA/vRO. Working knowledge of the other technologies we would consider an added bonus for this role.
Essential
- Experience in the application lifecycle management;
- Systems automation and orchestration;
- Ability to conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution operations.
This is a complex environment and as such looking you would have to have the resilience to navigate your way through and be able to produce excellent results across a geographically dispersed team of professionals.
Additional Information
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally hold a current NV-2 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
