The Role
This role sits within the Chief Digital Office Customer Engagement Team. As a Senior Developer you will support the Direct Customer Engagement (DCE) platform which allows a seamless multichannel journey for customers dealing with IAG directly. You will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of Verint Engagement Management (KANA) application. This role will also influence/introduce/refine processes and practices within the team and across teams, with the view to deliver rapid yet reliable solutions; to embrace DevOps and Agile ways of working; and contribute to the success of a the Customer Engagement delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle -concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support
- Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and realise products
- Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
- Optimising performance
- Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working on call support roster and analysing and addressing root cause of issues.
- The provision of strong technical expertise and leadership in software development
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the technologies
- Act as Senior Technical leader in DevOps and automation
- Coaching and mentoring of indirect staff
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of commercial experience in Kana and Ciboodle
- Knowledge in Source management tools such as Git
- Good understanding of Web Services
- Knowledge in HTML5
- Some experience with ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks
- Experience in Single page application architecture
- Ability to adopt agile ways of working
- Exposure to Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration tools and processes.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Industry experience preferably in insurance/financial services.
