The Role

The successful candidate will work with our business and technology teams to design, develop, and deploy new capabilities that enable them to deliver their solutions more efficiently and effectively.

Initially you will be supporting our Transformer project utilising your passion for learning and continuous improvement to stay abreast of bugs, bottlenecks ,optimisation opportunities and scaling up infrastructure to handle peak loads.

More broadly, you will be working with the business to propose, elicit and develop new ideas and concepts for additional products and mobile solutions.

  • Designing and developing platforms and applications to take advantage of emerging technologies.

  • Leading and participating in the development of powerful, compelling, desirable products and services, internal tools and infrastructure, for use by CHOICE business units and third parties.

  • Participate in technical partnerships to complement CHOICE’s capabilities.

About You

You are a DevOps Engineer or Systems Administrator with particular expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems, Ruby Stack, CM tools and automation.

  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent.

  • Cloud services as well as experience with traditional enterprise on-premises systems.

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

  • Infrastructure and application deployment automation.

  • Linux and Windows security mechanisms and security best practice.

  • Enterprise networking, load balancing and routing

You have an understanding of a wide range of emerging technologies, and ability to apply them to diverse problems and opportunities.
